It has also been adapted into the feature film - 'Utsav', directed by Girish Karnad. The Play, showcased in 9 Acts is an abridged version of the original. It is set in the city of Ujjain. It is rife with romance, royal intrigue and comedy, the plot of the play has numerous twists and turns that keep unfolding...leading to a dramatic climax.
