“To Honor Asphodels” is an official selection of ÉCU 2012, directed by Yana Alliata. Arnaud, the thief, wanders inadvertently onto an estate that curiously echoes the Greek underworld. Before he recognizes the precariousness of his circumstance, the gate closes behind him, imprisoning him with characters whose suffering will force him to unearth his forgotten humanity. Is Arnaud's soul trapped for eternity? Or will his encounter with the tragic Rebecca nourish his spirit into bloom like an asphodel, the legendary flower of Hades?
