In 1965, a separate line of business was established from DCS Design Research Center and incorporated as Design Center Shizuoka (our company’s former name), which marked the beginning of our business in manufacturing lighting fixtures and small interior goods. Over the past 40 years, we have been engaged in developing and manufacturing lighting fixtures with a focus on our theme of “Creating Japanese Light.” In 2005, we released our new brand, ABOVO. We propose a new style of lighting that is based on woodworking and wood coating technology, an indigenous industry in Shizuoka, and our vast experience in using all kinds of materials.
