âVerminâ, directed by Adi Gelbart, is an official selection of ÃCU 2012. When three creatures mysteriously appear on earth, the authorities observe them and try to make sense of their peculiar actions. At first the creatures harmlessly wander the fields. Then they are seen collecting plant seeds for growing gigantic onions and lettuce. But when they start using the vegetables as components in their giant organic machines, we must face the troubling questions: What is the purpose of these machines, and what do the creatures want from us?
