In late November 2011 for the first time in almost 60 years I found myself in a Dublin hospital. Looking out of the window one morning watching the dawn break I was conscious of many others standing at the same window watching the same sunrise.
Some of them never returned home .
The feeling was fleeting ,the moment quickly past but it will linger for ever in my mind.
