In this lesson we look at developing strumming patterns and strumming pattern techniques Iâm not happy to just teach people when and when not to play a down stroke and how to count rhythms. Learing these rules are the basics building blocks of developing a natural strumming rhythm that looks and feels natural, However, every now and again you will across a rhythm that forces us to break some of the rules we learnt in lesson one on strumming patterns and in this lesson i will demonstrate a few of them. We look at some common 8th note and 16th note groupings.
