US Foods, Sentry Centers and Nourishing NYC Join Together to Give Thousands of New Yorkers a Healthy Holiday
US Foods-Metro New York, Sentry Centers and Nourishing NYC have joined together to help provide a healthy and delicious Thanksgiving to more than 1,000 families in New York City, beginning with a hands-on cooking lesson for children on Saturday, November 19.
Fifty low-income children and their families will visit Sentry Centers in midtown Manhattan for hands-on training on how to prepare a healthy Thanksgiving dinner. The children will rotate to different cooking stations to learn how to make traditional Thanksgiving fare, such as turkey, sweet potatoes and green beans. Each child will go home with all the food they need â including a turkey â free of charge so they can cook Thanksgiving dinner for their family.
