“We’re This Close” (Plenary 2) presented by Dr. John L. Sever. Rotary International Polio Plus Committee Vice Chairman, Dr. John L. Sever, will discuss recent advances in the Global eradication of Polio and the valuable contributions being made by Rotarians. In 1979, John proposed to then RI President Clem Renouf that Rotary work for the world wide immunization of children against polio. This was accepted by President Clem and the RI Board and went on to be become what is known as Polio Plus.
