At the 2012 Mondial de'l Automobile in Paris automaker underscore that their commitment to sustainable mobility is not just a fashionable trend. This year's show in Paris promises to be an impressive showcase of zero emission technologies. German carmaker Mercedes-Benz takes the lead with a mix of technologies designed for different mobility demands. While Mercedes-Benz continues to reduce fuel consumption and emissions of its gasoline and diesel powered fleet, the Stuttgart based automaker and its subsidiary smart offer a variety of either plug in electric vehicles, or Fuel Cell Hydrogen powered cars that make locally emission free driving a reality today. At the Paris Auto Show Mercedes-Benz will celebrate the world premieres of two full electric vehicles, the Concept B-Class Electric Drive that will be available in 2014 and the super sports car SLS AMG Coupe Electric Drive. The Concept B-Class Electric Drive with a range of 200 kilometers or 120 miles is designed for locally emission free urban mobility and the SLS AMG Coupe Electric Drive combines Formula One technology with emission free performance driving, making it the most powerful AMG high performance vehicle of all times with an impressive acceleration of 0-100 km/h (60m/ph) in 3.9 seconds.
