I am now in Taiwan teaching Japanese at YMCA. I am not quite sure if the class here would be used as a reference. In Taiwan we are mostly using direct method (except basic class). Since YMCA doesn't have any restrictions and most students learn Japanese as a part of their hobby; therefore, I am teaching freely. In the U.S, I followed mostly "JSL, Japanese : spoken Language, by Prof. Jorden" I gained my experience in ALLEX program.
