Set in 1920s French Indochina, the French colonialist administration hires a secret police unit of elite assassins to realise a clampdown upon the on-going popular uprising against the brutal French occupation of Vietnam. One of them, after falling for the powerful force of love with one of the revolutionaries, honourably comprehends that he must bloody reconsider where his loyalties truly lie.
