Prominent New York City interior designer Alexander Furman is well aware that the days of the twelve thousand dollar shower curtain are definitely over. That’s why in each half-hour episode of “Down In The Dumps” Alexander visits small town America and attempts to decorate a room using only what he finds in the trash, by dumpster diving, or by bartering with the locals. He is NOT allowed to spend any money to create his design. Will he or won’t he be successful? We watch and see.
