California State Senator Mark Leno (D-San Francisco) usually a leader on public health health and safety issues is out of touch this time with his bill SB 635 which would allow bars, restaurants, and nightclubs to engage in a process to extend alcohol sales into early morning commute hours. He says "It will require nothing of anybody." Public health and safety providers, organizations and individuals throughout California disagree. They believe it's a very bad idea for California residents and visitors and would add considerable new harm and cost to taxpayers.
