While on my way to The Great Dismal Swamp,I saw a big black spot appear near the railing,as I got close,it was clear it was a black bear,luckily it was so early in the morning,and a holiday too,that there was little traffic,I pulled off to the side and grabbed these shots.I saw it was a male,and that it was loaded with ticks.
