Charl Johnson and his wife narrated in court that their house being not far from a nearby farm inn that has many wild animals including jackals, they are reminded of Reeva's screams whenever they hear the crying of the jackals at nights. A woman's scream cannot be imitated by a male...the nearest resemblance to a woman's scream being the cry of the jackal. This song is entitled 'As I hear the jackals cry' and is in the memory of the late Reeva Steenkamp.
