Thailand has developed a rich and unique culture, although the country is predominantly Buddhist, over the centuries it has been influenced by Hinduism, Islam, Animism and many other religions. These have developed a culture that is unique and one that most foreign visitors find completely fascinating. Nothing typifies Thai culture as much as the numerous festivals during which it seems that the whole country comes to a standstill as people go out and celebrate.
