China has deployed forces there since it fears Turkey is using the area to host Pan Turkish extremist minorities from Western China. They also see this as an opportunity to get their foot in the door in the Middle East to promote their wider regional agendas.
Turkey may deflect criticism of its support for Sunni extremists in Idlib by blaming it on Saudi Arabia and Israel, whom they will claim are using supply networks in Lebanon controlled by Sunni extremists seeking sanctuary there.
The Clinton-Obama shadow government will do what it can to continue illegally supporting Turkish efforts backing anti-Assad militias in the Idlib region.
Let us see if it ends in stalemate, like eastern Ukraine.
