Bagh (PoK), Nov 20: Commoners and activists from across Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK) took to the streets of Bagh district and carried out a protest march demanding an end to the years of illegal occupation of the region. United Kashmir People’s National Party (UKPNP) that has been struggling for Kashmiri independence from the clutches of Islamabad had made the call for the protests. While demonstrating against the Pakistan establishment, the activists underlined the cruel materialistic designs of Islamabad under which the widespread illegal construction of dams and other projects is being pursued in the region rendering hundreds of indigenous people homeless. Justifying people’s rage and supporting people’s demands from Brussels, Jamil Maqsood, Former Central Secretary- Foreign affairs of UKPNP slammed Pakistan for violating state subject rule in Gilgit-Baltistan and other parts of Pakistan occupied Kashmir.
