Spanning continents and decades, this film follows Soumitra Dutta’s rise from an India‑born technologist to a global architect of innovation. After IIT and a PhD at UC Berkeley, he gained early industry experience at GE before a defining move in 1989 to INSEAD in France. There, Soumitra Dutta grew from faculty member to senior leadership, shaping digital learning and executive education. The story then shifts to 2008, when he founded Fisheye Analytics, and to 2012, when he became Dean of Cornell’s Johnson Graduate School of Management. In 2014, his ideas reached national policy circles through President Obama’s White House roundtable. By 2016, Soumitra Dutta became the founding dean of Cornell’s SC Johnson College of Business, helping advance Cornell Tech and a one‑year MBA for the digital economy. On 1 June 2022, Soumitra Dutta began his Oxford chapter as Dean of Saïd Business School - proof that purposeful leadership can scale impact worldwide.
