Filmmaker Colin M. Day spent almost every day with Australia's top street art talent during their visit to San Francisco in September of 2011. In preparation for "Young and Free", a never before assembled dream team of Aussie artists bombed the city streets for their exhibition at 941 Geary gallery. Colin dived into the action, no matter the time of day or night, and has brought us a short film that catalogues this important moment in art history.

Another nice piece of film from Colin M. Day on artist Anthony Sneed's latest show "Grand Illusion."

"Shooting Gallery is pleased to present Grand Illusion, an installation of intensely colorful, visually striking paintings and handmade wooden object installations by Brooklyn-based artist Anthony Michael Sneed.

Inspiration is a compelling force for Sneed, who pulls from a long list of influences for the pieces featured in Grand Illusion. By reexamining his own points of reference (including everything from coloring contests – to growing up surrounded by architectural references, courtesy of his mother), he’s able to condense things to their most solid form, reverting to the beginnings of his connection to color and pattern. Straightforward in their form, bold, bright, and highly graphic, with just the right amount of painterly illusion – the pieces are Sneed’s most current ...

D YOUNG V reports on the past, present and future of Treasure Island in San Francisco. Treasure Island is a man made island that hosted the Worlds Fair in 1939. It was then a Navy Base until the mid 90's when it became residential housing. Beginning in 2012, the island will begin a transformational faze of becoming a self contained, green city.

Warholian's own Colin M. Day has outdone himself once again, this time presenting us with street artist ROA.

This film piece is literally a work of art in itself, and is by far the best piece yet on ROA. Mr. Day seems to be producing better and better work, and we are honored to be able to continue to present his films on Warholian.

ROA on the other hand needs no introduction, he is by far the most prolific street artist we've met. The guy can paint faster than a speeding bullet, and it's truly amazing to watch him work in person.

Enough with all the talk... enjoy!

CHESAPEAKE - In Chesapeake, Harry Amory is one proud father. His son Brett provided the art work for this years special bottle of Kentucky Derby bourbon. Brett graduated from Western Branch high school and the Academy of Art in San Francisco. And if you google Brett's name, his art work is every where. The folks at the Derby discovered Brett through an art magazine and wanted him to be their guy for their special edition bourbon. He's very successful, and he's a local guy, so that makes this year's race extra special and his dad couldn't be prouder.

UK based artist EINE spent the month canvasing San Francisco with his stylized lettering. Utilizing the urban landscape of ‘the city’, EINE has impressed with the shear scale of his work. Offering San Franciscan’s simple phrases or words such as “happiness” – his work lets you draw from your own bank of mental imagery. This public execution of street art aimed to offer viewers a more participatory role in the observation and evaluation of artistic creation.

One of the more impressive tent events at Art Basel Miami Beach this year was The Arts Fund Expo curated by White Walls Gallery out of San Francisco. Situated in the amazing W Hotel South Beach - this event offered a level of class and sophistication that others in the area could only dream of.

The official tent space was located right beside the W's outdoor pool, and offered visitors a chance to see some of the best artistic talent from around the globe.

The impressive show featured established street artists such as Dan Witz, Blek le Rat, Eddie, and ABOVE. These are some true power players in the street art game, and was a testament to the curatorial power Justin Giarla brought to the show.
