Saks Fifth Avenue comes alive with the 2013 debut of its Snowflake Spectacular, a dramatic light show projected onto the building. Snowflakes, dancers, gifts and a Yeti interact on the facade of the New York flagship store through state-of-the-art projection technology. The traffic-stopping, 3D spectacle utilizes a custom-built six-projector system and a unique musical score to tell the story of the Snowflake and The Yeti. This year, the six animated Fifth Avenue windows feature the story of the legendary Yeti, who is rumored to live on the roof at Saks, making snow during the holiday season. Each window depicts a scene from Yeti’s life, from his humble beginnings as an unappreciated snowmaker in Siberia to his starring role as a true snowflake artist in New York. Special performances by The American Ballet Theater Dancers and The Young Peoples Chorus of New York City are followed by a VIP performance by Grammy Award-winning violinist Joshua Bell. Tommy Hilfiger is pleased to announce the opening of its West Coast flagship, located at the corner of Robertson and Beverly Boulevards. The new flagship is an important step in reestablishing the brand in the LA market. A mix of fashion influencers and LA notables joined Tommy for cocktails at the expansive new Robertson Boulevard flagship. Tommy Hilfiger introduced a special appearance by friend, mother, philanthropist and performer Alicia Keys. The evening included a surprise performance by Guns N' Roses with vocalist Axl Rose, one of Tommy's favorite artists and friends.
