It is a documentary work to have the memory of the Hawaiian Nisei. It is shown that the Nisei went for war as a big fact. However, this is not a simple war movie and is not the movie which made a Nisei a hero. We treat a Nisei as one piece of the history of Japanese-emigrant and want to show human being of the Nisei. Theｙ play popular in childhood. It is not handed down to a later generation. And postwar activity ware necessary as the Hawaiian society history. And this oral statement will become very valuable. Nisei which accepted this interview more than 30 people. However, Nisei is old. Nisei does not have time. I decided exhibition to Honolulu Film Award and Maui Film Festival this time. Originally, the movie was produced to convey Veterans to a Japanese audience. The Japanese does not too know a Nisei. I think that it is shame. Therefore I did not think about the screening in overseas countries. Because the purpose I did exhibit to HFA and MFF this time, the meaning of thanks to the Nisei who met an interview. Therefore I thought that I wanted them to watch it in Hawaii. ハワイ日系二世の記憶を残すべく、ドキュメンタリー映画の制作を進めています。また、インタビューに応えてくれた二世ヴェテランズへ礼を尽くす意味でも、今年のホノルル映­画祭への出品を目指しています。 『ハワイ日系二世の記憶』個展や地震による停電などでなかなか余裕ありませんが、二世の方には時間が無い、と考え、目標をホノルル映画祭に据え、完成を急ぎます。 I produce a documentary film to have memory of Hawaiian Nikkei Nisei. In addition, I aim for exhibition to the Honolulu Film Festival in this year, bacouse I hope return gratitude to Nisei Veterans which met an interview. The money does not gather, and the situation is severe by a image exhibition and a blackout by the earthquake. However, the Nisei does not have time.
