Although the program originated in the Albany school district, today, there are over 300 children in the program from 75 schools in the Capital Region. There are two full orchestras, a string ensemble, wind orchestra, 2 jazz ensembles, 3 percussion ensembles, as well as, a city strings program and a city brass program. It is evident that this program has evolved over their thirty years in the Capital Region.
