Blaster Master is one of my all time favorite video games. IN this game you will play in three different modes based on your location. First off, you will be controlling your vehicle through areas while jumping around and shooting enemies. The second mode comes when you exit your vehicle and control your character in the outside world. You can also jump and shoot enemies. In this mode you can enter caves. This is where the third mode comes in. Inside the caves you can shoot enemies and use your secondary weapon. It is in this mode that you will take on the game's bosses. Each area has a boss that must be killed in order to advance to the next area. After killing the boss, you will recieve a reward such as an increase to your vehicles weapon power.
