"Student Had Gun Pointed At Chest" by Charles HinchliffeA short film that I wrote and directed as a part of my Media Arts degree. We were told to make a piece about a personal experience so I chose being mugged at gunpoint. This was obviously a powerful subject to use for the project, as well as being particularly relevant to the society we now live in, where such events are becoming more and more common. I wanted to make my film feel like a memory as it is supposed to be my own memories of the personal experience, this is why I decided to slow the footage down. The narrator is reading out parts of the newspaper article that was written about the event, it was on the front page of the 'Reading Post.' The title is taken from the headline and also made the music myself by layering many different sounds, enjoy!
