Forever Holding Close the MemoriesI never realized how amazing we sounded and how much we had progressed through the year until I watched this being played. This was literally and completely my favorite song to play, hands down. For you to understand why and what this song is about though, I have to tell you the whole story of this song. This song is dedicated to the Mesquite band director, Chris Rainier, who had tragically died in a car crash a couple years ago. My band director, Mr. Kuczynski, knows the present band director at Mesquite, Mr. Andre. Kuczynski had asked to be able to get this piece to play. At the end of the school year for me, I would be moving schools to Mesquite. I have now met the people that actually knew Mr. Rainier and can't even begin to understand the pain and sorrow they went through. This was the Rhodes Junior High School Concert Band of '09 expressing our heartfelt respects to the Mesquite band and Mr. Rainier.
