Weddington Kelly - Played Football at the University of Georgia, He Played in the First Game Ever Held at Sanford Stadium. Kelley was an Outstanding Georgia High School Coach and Administrator. Weddington Kelley was Inducted into the Coweta Sports Hall of Fame on February 14, 2009 in Newnan, Georgia.

Steve Bedrosian - Pitched in the Major Leagues for 15 Years, Winning the Cy Young Award and the Fireman of the Year Award in 1897 with the Philadelphia Phillies. In 1982 Bedrosian was named Rookie Pitcher of the Year as a Atlanta Brave. In 1989 Steve was traded to the San Francisco Giants helping the team to their Pennant since 1962. Nicknamed "Bedrock" Steve was a Member of the World Champions Minnesota Twins in 1991. As a Free Agent in 1993 Steve Returned to the Atlanta Braves Where He Pitched Three More Years, Until Retiring After the 1995 Season. Bedrock's Career Numbers Include Pitching in 742 Games, 46 as a Starter. Steve “Bedrock” Bedrosian has a Career ERA of 3.38 in 1,191 Innings.

Coach Danny Chronic Played Football At The University Of Georgia, He Coached At Cherokee High School, Middle Tennessee State, Lagrange High School, West Georgia College And East Coweta High School, At East Coweta High School He Turned The Indians Football Program Into A State Power. Coach Chronic Retired in 2007 with A Coaching Record Of 219-107-1. On February 14, 2009, Coach Chronic Was Inducted Into the Coweta Sports Hall of Fame In Newnan, Georgia
