Shinichi Osawa PLAYBUTTONPlaybutton is a new service based in New York that turns promo badges into MP3 players. With a tagline of “Why just play a record when you can hear it too?” the company offers button badges with a built in digital music player. Tracks embedded in the badges cannot be removed and can only be played in order. The site says, “Like an album, the sequence of the music cannot be altered.” The badges are 4.5cm in diameter and feature an audio jack for standard headphones as well as a play/pause button and buttons to skip forward or back a track. They come with a rechargeable lithium battery and the front of the badges can be modified with any artwork the creator chooses.
