While having a mini-get-together at Sherman's, the pretenders play a movie quote trivia contest - "what do you mean I'm funny" - and then discuss the stupid rules to follow when dating in L.A...

While having a few drinks with the pretenders, Sherman hopes that getting drunk will make them more standable and truthful.

Mr. Adams pays a visit to Sherman and Felix to make sure the project is coming along nicely.

Sherman (Dan Shirey) gets pissed off at Felix (Garikayi Mutambirwa), increasingly talking, behaving and even breathing like he's an L.A. pretender.

The Pilot introduces the six 'fake' friends (played by an ensemble cast); four men and two women who each live in a different area of L.A. and meet regularly at Sherman's house.
