Mobile Home Displacement in Hallandale Beach, Florida The City of Hallandale Beach is terminating tenancies of mobile home owners in order to expand a local underused sports park. Up to 80 or more face the loss of their homes which represent the most affordable of affordable housing options. Affected are elderly, disabled and workforce residents who have few, if any, alternative housing options. While the City has a relocation program, it is not working. This video shows the extreme stress visited upon the residents and demonstrates the need for immediate, sound and rational governmental policy on the issue of mobile home displacement.
