Another game on the "back burner". This one i can see myself finishing without too much fuss, although there's scope for a sequel. It's Asteroids, but on a sphere, instead of a wrapping rectangle. I'm quite chuffed with the "gridding system" that makes collisions between a large number of things possible.

Vid from 2 player tank game i'm making. Development of this is paused, but i shall return to it before too long. Currently it is split screen, but the intention is to make it online. I want to make this kind of like a generic fighting game, but with tanks instead of people. This means a number of charismatic and notably different tanks to choose from, with alternate paint schemes, and a number of different arenas. Scoring will be best of 3, 5 rounds or whatever, and it'll have the "final round: fight" etc announcements.

Have added varying ground height, and waves on water levels. Next task is to model a few more enemy units and some buildings/scenery, improve level editor and make some levels. I intend to make a complete game for the end of the month, although i'll still have a massive "to do list" that i can carry over for the next version.

Game i'm making in Darkbasic Pro. SBSX stands for Super Badass Spaceship X. You pilot a spaceship and shoot things. Graphics are 3d, but your movement is in a horizontal 2d plane. You can thrust in 8 directions, rotate, and fire guns and missiles, both of which lock onto things. AI is a bit rubbish and the levels consist soley of blowing everything to bits, but it's gettting better.
