This was a promotional campaign for a new non-profit in Houston, Athletes for Art. This campaign ran before the SuperBowl that was in Houston that year, on the local ABC station.

This is a promo video for a documentary I have not finalized.

As a broadcasting teacher you have to get down and dirty sometimes to inspire your students and show them what they can do with the video gear they have. This is a nat (natural) sound piece covering the Hightower basketball team. It was shot with a Sony DSR300A and a Sony wireless mic.

This is an overview piece of the entire Japan Fulbright Teacher experience in June of 2006. 200 American Teachers traveled to Japan and the various activities, adventures, etc. were all documented by instructor Ted A. Irving of the Hightower High School Electronic Media Academy. Enjoy!

Sake is the second largest industry of Kesennuma, next to the fish market. American Fulbright Teachers toured one of the facilities and tasted some of the various Sake wines.

If you are a fisherman you will love this. Kesennuma, being the Shark Fin City, allows tours of its fishing industry. American Teachers in the Kesennuma group received the opportunity to veiw the catch of the day and experience extremely cold temperatures in a unique museum.

Electronic Town or Akihabara is the hot spot in Tokyo to buy the latest gadgets. This place was one of the main attractions for American Fulbright Teachers on their day off.

Enjoy this short piece on another Japanese tradition. A Kabuki presenation was given to all 200 American Teachers on their second day in Japan.

Along with touring Japanese Schools, the government and food, there are some differences in etiquette. This piece is a guide to Japanese etiquette.

View one of the ancient art forms of Japan through the eyes of American Fulbright Teachers.

The 200 American Teachers visiting Japan were divided into teams of 20. Each team stayed in their host city for one week and spent two days with a host family. This piece centers around the Kesennuma, located in the MIyagi Prefecture.

This segment covers the Japanese School System. The American Teachers, as part of their Fulbright Experience, had to tour al elementary, jr. high and high school.

As American Teachers traveled throughout Japan in June of 2006 they could not help but experience the Bullet Train!!

One of the American Teacher experiences in Japan was viewing and participating in an authentic tea ceremony at the Enunkan, a home where the ceremony has been practiced for many generations.
