www.nb3foundation.org The Notah Begay (NB3) III Foundation was founded in 2005 by four-time PGA TOUR winner Notah Begay III—the only full-blooded Native American on the PGA TOUR. Out of the 71,000 sports and youth organizations in the United States, the NB3 Foundation is the only nonprofit organization using sports, health and leadership programs to fight type 2 diabetes among Native American youth.

Lacrosse has a long history tied to the traditions of Iroquois tribes. For one day, thanks to the NB3 Foundation Native American teens learned about the game, learning the rules and skills and fostering an interest in this unique part of their heritage.

For this year’s Notah Begay III Foundation Challenge, 14 Native American youth were chosen to participate in the Course Crew, a unique opportunity to see what goes into organizing, executing and covering the NB3 Challenge and gain experience in a variety of different communications disciplines.
