A very intense and poetic ballad about innocence lost . I would compare it to "Suzanne" by Leonard Cohen. Abraham Cloud sounds like a wild man from the forest yelling at the top of his lungs a truth he has found. Seen as crazy by the townsfolk he is banished from the town forever.

Feast your eyes and ears on some celebration from Abraham Cloud. From its mysterious synth/sisters of mercy opening til it's wild party of a Brazilian Marti Gris ending it is nonstop entertainment in this gem off the new , "Freshly Broken Glass" CD.

Basically this is an unfinished song about procrastination. Minimalist production sounds a bit like a Ray Davies tune. The ever tuneful and thoughtful Abraham Cloud says, "What did you do today ? You've already wasted half your life."

In an infinitely large universe there are many,many strange places. Only one really maters and that is Our Little Place. A gathering where people with strange afflictions gather to hopefully be healed. Like the man with half a face.

Gritty , sweaty heart-felt pop. Van Morrison meets Joe Jackson on the road to eternity. Seems to be a farewell song sung by someone who has achieved a glimpse of a much better life on the other side. Its on Cloud's last CD, "The Cruelty of Gravity."

If you like the version on the "Children of the Milkman" CD, then you'll love the demo. This is Abraham Cloud raw and unprocessed doing lead guitar and bkg vox as well. It's rough , but pretty cool. Thanks to M.H.Smith for the video with lyrics. Its like Neil Young meets the Clash.

Many modern music lovers recall their first introduction to Kesha hearing her sing "When You Go Down," on FloRida's smash hit, "right round." Not too many have heard the amazing rock song by Abraham Cloud also called, "When You Go Down" Sounding like one of Neil Young's early hits its jangly guitar rock weaves in perfectly with Cloud's twisted perspective on fame, "Why Can't I be in every window, every day of the year ? " And the main hook, "I will always be the one who sticks around, when you go down " is downright hilarious.

The opening line sets the stage in Abraham Cloud's epic song, "Sometimes when I can't sleep at night I draw the shades and look outside. Rows of rooftops, all exactly the same, cover people who will never change." The Promise of Saturday sounds like a combination of Dylan and Ryan Adams. Like two generations of Acoustic commentators met and agreed the situation was unchanged. "Ice cold beer and a Sunday Drive, the promise of Saturday can keep you alive."

With all the slow groove hand claps of a London Squat party, Abraham Cloud re-creates a mood and era with the exacting precision of a master sculptor. If you've ever heard Eric Burdon's , "Spill the Wine," you will probably enjoy this Sixties style Rap song. There's no urgency , or major social issues , just a slow rolling groove about better days. It's War, Malo, Lou Reed and Sinead O'Conner all rolled into one . It's a very stoned cab ride through a rainy Soho morning. It's one of the last recorded Cloud songs from the "Cruelty" record. Enjoy.

Bob Dylan's song "Buckets of Rain" was recently featured on the TV show "Bones." It wasn't Dylan's version though. It was sung by the incredible Beth Orton and M. Ward. It was a great version and highlighted a surreal scene where Bones was falling into alcoholic despair. Supposedly, Dylan heard the version and loved it. Oddly enough, the massive amount of web searches has netted some new popularity for Abraham Cloud's "Buckets of Rain," which is a pretty cool song itself, original and totally unrelated to Dylan. What is it that's waiting outside ? Is it freedom ? Is it the answer ? Does the lady at the pharmacy hold the key ? Or is it the yacht at the end? Once again Abraham Cloud has proven that anyone can do anything with almost absolutely nothing but an idea. This is a thoroughly entertaining home-made video of an absolutely great song. From the Herb Alpert horns on the intro to the sinister , haunting "I Love You's" the listener is taken on a private journey somewhere south of Sane.
