The NVT Neurological Vision Rehabilitation System primarily focuses on teaching compensatory scanning strategies that can then be transferred into mobility and other activities of daily living to address and improve visual functioning in real life situations. The NVT System, although developed for neurological vision deficits, can also be used with patients with a variety of field losses to teach an efficient and structured scanning pattern in a static environment prior to implementing the strategy into a dynamic situation. Our experience has been that both adults and children enjoy the therapy sessions and more importantly have a better understanding of their visual status.
