The southern wall was necessary only because of one single thing - and thats because of uncontrolled Mexican immigration on their borders thus sipping in US all sorts of immigrants from South Central Americas and rest of the world as is the case. The job democrats didn't and wouldn't take on in order to strengthen US even further - allowing all sorts of people to get in through airports etc undocumented going after very core immigration law which destroyed numerous hard working American taxpayers who in no way could complete with undocumented workforce while turning streets into organised crime.
