This is one of the opening stories in Elysion, that sets up the Elysioni set of stories, all of which are about a girl named L and a man, Abyss. It parallels Adam/Eve and the Garden of Eden, showing how Paradise was lost through sin and the cycle of these two continues throughout Elysion, with (I'm assuming), their daughter who was abandoned in the forest, found by the witch, and then with El and her father in El no Rakuen.
