The third folk song it's almost a love song, for sure it is a comitment portrait of a person who left a part of her live in the Balkans. The fourth song comes from Sarajevo, directly from the voice of one of it's most memorables intellectuals. In the past, little children asked the granfathers to know about the important facts in the family life. U2 first became involved with Sarajevo in 1993 on their Zoo TV Tour. Approached by aid worker Bill Carter about bringing attention to the Siege of Sarajevo, the band conducted nightly satellite transmissions with Bosnians during their shows. These link-ups received criticism from journalists for mixing entertainment with human tragedy. Although the conflict made it impractical for U2 to visit Sarajevo at the time, they vowed to eventually play a concert in the city. After the war ended in November 1995, they made arrangements to visit Sarajevo, and with help from United Nations ambassadors and peace-keeping troops, they performed in the city on their 1997 PopMart Tour. The band offered to play a benefit concert or small show in Sarajevo, but it was requested that they stage a full PopMart show; the performance consequently featured the tour's extravagant stage, and the band played a set list typical of the tour. The show brought together people of different ethnicities, who had previously clashed during the war, and train service was temporarily resumed to allow concertgoers to attend. Among the songs played was "Miss Sarajevo", written by U2 and Brian Eno about a beauty pageant held during the war. Although the band were displeased with their performance and lead vocalist Bono had vocal difficulties, the concert was well-received and was credited with improving morale among Bosnians, as well as helping signal a return to normalcy. The members of U2 consider the show to be among their proudest moments.

We as the IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation moved to contribute to fraternity and solidarity among Muslim communities by performing sacrificial slaughters in 110 countries and regions. The IHH slaughtered sacrificial animals in 110 countries and regions, particularly in those that are hit by war, occupation, civil unrest, poverty and natural disaster. The foundation distributed sacrificial meat to refugees in camps in Lebanon, Jordan, Syria, Iraq, Georgia and Azerbaijan. Occupied Iraq and Gaza were another two regions where the IHH performed sacrificial slaughters and took the greetings of people of Turkey. The IHH took the joy of Eid al-Adha to Muslims in Kosovo, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Albania, Serbia, Sandzak, Romania, Montenegro, ...

On this day we were ambushed late in the morning, then surrounded in a small house belonging to a terrified Afghan family. The battle to get out of the house lasted eight hours. The two most senior soldiers there, both veterans of Iraq, Bosnia, Kosovo and Northern Ireland, agreed that it was the most intense day they had ever experienced. One of them has since been awarded a Military Cross. I spent two months in Afghanistan, and I'm sure that what I saw in Helmand is going on in many other parts of the country.
