We resuced this 6 month old baby horse yeaterday from an abandoned farm in Ocala FL, we got her just in time as she needed Vet attention. she is up and about today and doing good, eating grass. but she is stil very very skinny.

This segment contains one really long tracking shot, from puppy's eye level, running backward. Video camera still at the bottom of the "Poor Man's Steadicam". As noted in another segment, it was advantageous to have the camera's microphone away from my voice to prevent audio spikes on playback. The flip side to this issue is that the camera's microphone is close to my boots as I walk on the rocks, for a prominent "crunch, crunch, crunch" on playback. Lesson to be learned when camera is in the bottom position of the "Poor Man's Steadicam": walk on the grass! At the end of this segment, I had much better results in reaching down to smoothly zoom in.

...Amanda had packed her SLR camera and one of the lens she has for it is a very long lens (a 300), we swapped it out and it looks just amazing. Unbelievably sharp depth of field. We stopped by a field yesterday to shoot some tall grass with the mountains in the background - and I couldn't believe how many "layers" of field we could shift through. The great news is it's turned out to be much, much easier to film on-the-fly with the 35 kit mounted to the FX1...

The Goodies go to the beach for a swim, but discover that the water is polluted. Then they notice how widespread the pollution is. They discover that the Ministry for Pollution is responsible for the problem. The Goodies arrange for widespread grass to overcome the pollution, by seeding the clouds with grass seeds, and the results are far beyond their wildest dreams. Cars can no longer be driven, because the streets cannot be seen, and everybody grows grass instead of hair. Lawn mowers are in fashion as transport — also in fashion are tiny garden ornaments and scarecrows which are made especially for wearing in people's hair. Birds also profit by being able to build nests in the hair. Although all seems to be idyllic, the Goodies find that there is an unexpected drawback to their environmental solution to the problem. We've gotten out to visit with business people in Grass Valley, CA over the last few days. It was good.

Salty Holmes also plays harmonica using both his mouth and nose.

Pain in the Grass 8/11/07 Tacoma, Wa

Sometime rabbit can be very aggresive..... Rabbits are herbivores who feed by grazing on grass and leafy weeds. Rather than chewing the cud as do cows and many other herbivores, rabbits reingest their own droppings in order to fully digest their food and extract sufficient nutrients.Rabbits graze heavily and rapidly for roughly the first half hour of a grazing period (usually in the late afternoon), followed by about half an hour of more selective feeding. In this time, the rabbit will also excrete many hard faecal pellets, being waste pellets that will not be reingested. If the environment is relatively non-threatening, the rabbit will remain outdoors for many hours, grazing at intervals. While out of the burrow, the rabbit will occasionally reingest its soft, partially digested pellets; this is rarely observed, since the pellets are reingested as they are produced.
