When California girl Susan Murphy is unwittingly clobbered by a meteor full of outer space gunk on her wedding day, she mysteriously grows to 49-feet-11-inches tall. Alerted to the threat of this new monster, the military jumps into action and Susan is captured and secreted away to a covert government compound. There, she is renamed Ginormica and placed in confinement with a ragtag group of other monsters: the brilliant but insect-headed Dr. Cockroach, Ph.D.; the macho half-ape, half-fish The Missing Link; the gelatinous and indestructible B.O.B.; and the 350-foot grub called Insectosaurus. Their confinement is cut short, however, when a mysterious alien robot lands on Earth and begins storming the country. In a moment of desperation, The President is persuaded by General W.R. Monger to enlist the motley crew of Monsters to combat the Alien Robot and save the world from imminent destruction.

From close to 8000 submissions over an 8 week period, 30 semi-finalists were selected, which were then narrowed down to the six top undiscovered bands in the country, with The Last Vegas winning the chance to open on tour for rock icons, Motley Crue.

Spencer Marx is a 58 year old man who has been engaging in a lifestyle of bulimia since his early 20’s. Raised in a millionaire family, he has almost is at the last of his inheritance. His handyman, a 64 year old, ex prison preacher who saves cans of tuna in preparation for Armageddon. And lastly he hires “Bumdog”. A “career homeless bum” to document it all. A documentary of a man in his last days struggling to make something of his life.

Played by the voluptuous singer Julie London, the young girl was the victim of a plane crash with her white collar criminal father who left valuable treasure scattered in the wilderness. London would surely not have survived if not for her bonding with the large primate Nabonga. When action star Larry “Buster” Crabbe comes looking for the loot, he finds London and Nabonga and decides they’re more precious to him than any wealth. As the greedy bad guys are in hot pursuit, the motley threesome dashes through perils in the dangerous jungle. Filled with nonstop fights, beasts, and treasures, Nabonga is absurd safari fun at its finest.

Smart Alecks is an adventure featuring the East Side Kids, a motley group of misfits in New York City who rely on sight gags and racial stereotyping for humor. While very funny, the film is also an interesting examination of cultural humor in the forties when racism was acceptable in mainstream entertainment.
