Carolina Wrens Part 3 - Leaving the nest (Update)Update 5-3-08: After the birds left my porch I discovered Bird Mites. Bird mites are smaller than a flea or tick and their bite is as bad or worse. And, because they are so small, they are more difficult to detect.
Look up Bird Mites on the internet. People find that sticky tape lint rollers are very helpful in getting the mites off of them.

After nearly 2 weeks with the baby wrens on my back porch, their parents tell them it's time to get out of the nest. For the first time in their lives they use their wings and the parents slowly get them off of the porch and outside where they will see new things and join the rest of the world.
