Ma (Vanness Wu) est un jeune homme à la recherche de son père, un expert en kung fu. L'histoire se déroule dans les années 30 à Shanghai. Ayant hérité de la force surhumaine de son père, il se trouve un job dans une maison d'arts martiaux et devient ami avec Fat (Lam Chi Chung). Les deux camarades tombent dans un piège et la triade de Shanghai engage alors une véritable chasse à l'homme.
