Foreign Minister Manuchehr Mottaki on Saturday called a new UN sanctions resolution against Iran unlawful and unjustified in an address to the UN Security Council. The Security Council's 15 members unanimously adopted a resolution on Saturday expanding the sanctions imposed on Iran in December for refusing to freeze its uranium enrichment program.
