A sultry nightclub singer captivates the audience but maybe not her boyfriend. This was made with Moviestorm Beta 2.0 which can be downloaded from http://moviestorm.co.uk for free. It is a wonderful new machinima moviemaking program that allows you to customize all animations, puppets and sets. The camera work is wonderful and you can save your movie in a hi res format.

GTA 4 2nd Trailer Shows of a little glimpse into Niko's life. As well as some nice shootouts and explosions. We see a lot more of Niko's personality and what drives him - as well as some awesome gameplay footage that totally blew yours truly away. The city looks real and lifelike and delivers on the promise of having the feel of an actual sprawling metropolis.The character animations and voice acting are superb.

3D modeling and animations

Chris Sheriff is a talented voice over artist. He recently sent me his new audio showreel cd to do some artwork for the cover and I just couldn't resist attempting some basic charcter animations in after effects at the same time.

This is the musicvideo of Das Kombinat to the title 'Multimedia' from the CD 'Betriebssystem'. The real life footage was shot 1998 on Hi8 video, but the quality was so low that it couldnt be keyed in a good way so we stored and forgotten about it. In 2002 videosoftware made such advances that we tried a new application and imedantly bought a license because it saved our material. Keying is still poor but much better now. We combined the footage to 3D animations we created. The sound is complete rendered digital with the opensource csound back around 1996. The video was shown several times, for instance before Notstandskomitee concerts, but also included into the blue screen issue of the Berlin CDr artzine t.i.n.a.h.

The Movies tutorial on making animations for use with The Movies, from rendering in your 3d program of choice to conversion to DDS format. Also included within is a brief tutorial on batching & creating actions in Photoshop.
