The baptism of Maxwell Francis & Jackson Vincent Caddle at the Commack United Methodist Church on April 13th 2008.

Baptism is a sacrament of the Christian faith that symbolizes Jesus's death and resurrection. The submersion under water is a Christian's death to sin and the emerging is the resurrection to new life with Jesus. On Easter Sunday 2008 the Mars Hill Church Ballard campus baptized 120 people as part of the 5 Easter services. We captured each of these baptisms on video and present this clip. We are blessed this Sunday service first by a very special water baptism and then by a word from Pastor Paul Greer on one of his personal heroes, Moses. Pastor Greer also shares a little bit of his family history and the adventure he and his family are currently embarking on, missions in Papua, New Guinea. We see that God often calls us to something bigger than ourselves, something so big that it's hard not to shrink away from it. I did a confessional style self interview last week where I talked about how Christianity has been a part of my life, from baptism, through college rebellion, to today. I end it by asking my grandpa to recommend some bible verses to read in the modern translation “The Message” that he gave to melast year. (If you listened to last hugnation live, you heard us talking about it.) I just watched the video and really liked the style that I spoke in. I was considering making it the basis for a longer piece about bible study with grandpa. Maybe even a dvd project. Anyway, this video is a scene from the monologue where I went on a tangent about my view and the power of thought.
