I realized Prokofiev's 8th Piano Sonata sounds pretty scary doing this. But rethinking about it, I've always found Pokofiev's Peter and the wolf to be pretty scary too :) My camera is broken but I really started to miss making some videos so I started to dig in old material and this older piano recording. The mountains you see are for sure the Alps, but I can't remember where I was flying to so I don't know exactly in which country. If someone knows how to film from an airplane with a cheap camera without having this overwhelming blue color I would be happy to hear it. As usual I am very thankful to my wife Marina Scalafiotti for agreeing to use this live recording of Prokofiev's 8th Sonata (recorded somewhere in France, about 7 years ago). But it's been hard finding the "voices" I had in mind for Pedal. Perhaps many of the people we've talked to so far are too early on in their rides to really dig deep into their experience. Hans and Elly are on their 2nd bicycle trip - their first was 30 years, when they spent 9 months traveling by bicycle from Holland to New Zeland. Their stories are amazing - I can't wait to hear more. They really understand that trips like these are 99% mental. Amazing people.

This film includes footage of British troops in the Middle East during WW II, the transportation of German prisoners, and the graduation of Chinese Air Corps. The film shows British fighter planes flying over the desert and various bombings. British troops dig and place land mines in the sand. Soldiers are shown loading canons. Soldiers remove belongings from a dead soldier and bury him with a cross on top of the burial site. Mines explode as military vehicles drive through the sand. German prisoners are transported on a large ship. Prisoners line up in swim suits and walk in a single file line. They crowd together on the ship decks. Film ends with the graduation of Chinese air corps in Phoenix, AZ.

Before I get into the description, let me point out a few things: I used a different camera this time, but had to record to VHS first, then transfer to PC, which is why the quality is a bit grainy (awful). We had a shortage of games because my local blockbuster closed down, but in the future may rent all my games from Gamefly, or wherever. Also, there was a lot of FX jobs that took a while to make, and don't transfer well to wmv format, but there are new 3d segments for the show, so hope you like. Onto business. This month, you'll see us dig into the old vault and pull out a review to Mega Man 5 for the Nintendo. Help out the local rednecks in Redneck Rampage for the PC with some cheat codes, and play as a zombie with a hole in his belly on your X-Box. All this plus a little visitor drops by the show (yeah, decided to add a lame story bit)

This video, recorded live, obviously reflects some heavy subject matter...the song is deeply personal and its been in the archives of the hard disc in my head for quite some time... actually i have quite a few songs/video's that i haven't posted. A video, after it's debut, unfortunately fades into oblivion after a few days. It has it's glorious run and then fades into a footnote, or maybe in a box that says "top videos"...not that that's such a bad thing...it's just the way it is. I am not here 2 offend anyone....but i'm not creating or writing music 2 please the record exec's 'ANYMORE'...it is no longer an 'intense' goal 2 launch a career in the corporate world of 'top forty'...I will no longer be censored, or more importantly, I will no longer censor myself. So again, I'm not here 2 offend anyone. These may be the last days of 'freedom of speech'...the last days of our freedom of expression, and i'm not going to spend them walking around on my tippy-toes. i hope u dig it...

Her show is taped here in Burbank, California. I believe that support from Ellen would make a huge positive impact on the success of SKYDIVERGIRLS. I also believe that if she knew about what we do at SKYDIVERGIRLS, she would TOTALLY DIG IT! I've decided to send her tapes asking to be on her show.
