Hi all, Well the markets digested the better than expected data very nicely and ran to the next logical place of resistance. Hi all, Thanks for your patience and please excuse the frog in my throat : ) The markets gapped up this morning on the better than expected jobless claims news but are now showing some late morning weakness. The gap was not corroborated by the TRIN or the TRINQ however and this was a good time to watch for a gap fill. Nice stuff in here. Happy Thursday all, Nice little gap up past intra-day resistance : ) Dow up above 8000 on G20 news that they will be giving 1 trillion dollars to IMF, World Bank. Personally I'm practicing cautious optimisim here in that other indications including unemployment are still poor. Talk to you soon, Matador : )

Happy April Fools Day!!! Markets gapped down and then rebounded today in classic April Fools action! The drop was associated with the worries about high unemployment numbers and that GM is still in trouble. The rebound was attributed to factory and home sales data that showed the economic slump could be moderating. (Check out Yahoo Finance for more.) Happy Monday everyone, Looks like we are getting a nice boost again today on the better than expected February existing home sales numbers as well as the government plan to help banks buy back and remove almost 1 trillion dollars of "bad" assets from their books.
