There are social and political implications on the way Latino immigrants relate to African Americans and Whites. There have been some tensions between Latinos and African Americans, even when they are part of the same communities. The question is. How will this tension affect the presidential election? Will Latinos vote for Obama, and African American candidate despite all frictions between the two communities? Or will they vote for him precisely because he is part of minority? August 2007 -- According to the U.S. Department of Labor, the average worker at a meatpacking plant earns 35 percent less an hour than they did 30 years ago. And some labor experts say immigration is a factor in these declining wages. "Wage depression" is a term being used to describe the effect of companies artificially keeping wages down by employing illegal immigrants willing to work for a lower wage. In a federal lawsuit in Cactus, Texas, former American workers accused a Swift meatpacking plant of doing just that. The workers claim their loss of income and declining standard of living is a direct result of the plant's illegal hiring practices. The owner of the country's second largest meatpacking plant, has stated the accusations to be false. This is the testimony of a woman in the UK who was the subject of some newspaper articles concerning an email she never sent. The email was an opinion about illegal immigrants not being allowed to stay in the UK. The email was published in the news and just because one reader complained that she was offended the police had to question her under the current law. They were going to take her fingerprints and DNA, just routine mam, her lawyer advised her she did not have to do it since she was not charged with anything and not under arrest. Is this what happens when current Politically Correct laws are applied? One person can snitch on anyone else, a shopkeeper for instance for displaying and selling Gollywogs, or an "offensive" sign in the window, or the Union Jack displayed in Police stations offending foreign born people residing in the country which happened in Bath.
