Kidnap KitchensOn May 15, 2010, filming begun for the new project from Black Rose Productions, Inc., called "Kidnap Kitchens." "Kidnap Kitchens" is a cooking show starring Jennifer Queen and Dena Chelius from their cooking class and catering company, Two Blondes and a Stove. The plot of the show is that the women "kidnap" a chef from one of the tri-state area's best restaurants and have the chef teach the women how to make one of their most poular dishes. The first episode features Chef Mark Salese, owner and head chef of Almarco's Restaurant in Huntington Village, NY. Dena and Jen add a much needed lift to the show that many cooking shows are lacking these days. With their humor and love for fun, cooking is more than standing over a stove following a strict recipe; it is exciting and fun, and sometimes a bit silly. Black Rose Productions, Inc. has been very supportive of the project from the beginning. President and CEO, Tito Batista, was approached at a benefit for mental health by the satr of the show, Dena Chelius. She expressed to him her dream of one day having her own cooking show. Being the go-getter he is, Batista started the process to make her dream come true immediately. Batista is the executive producer, absorbing the cost of the whole production as well as providing the assistance of filming equipment and technicians. Batista's intern, Katie Hurley, from SUNY Stony Brook University, has written the script for the show and is also a producer. Also assisting the project are friends and associates of Tito Batista, John Pandolfo and Chris Pati.
