Kim Bennett and the killing of PuppyWashington Borough, New Jersey 07882 Kim Bennett and the killing of Puppy Puppy, Gualdo Hidalgo’s beloved German shepherd, is dead. She was named “Puppy” and had a beautiful and strong character. She was very intelligent and managed to befriend all five German shepherds living in the same house: her mom, her daddy, her grandma, an uncle and an aunt. Puppy was born with a mild standing disorder with a psychological component. She was afraid to climb the stair to the basement but when she was playing on bed with Gualdo, she used to jump briskly from the bed to the floor without trouble, which requires more strength than walking the stair. Apparently, she was killed due to her disability though she was living happily and normally with Gualdo. Anyway, no one has cared up to day to explain the circumstances of her death. Gualdo got the sad news about the killing of Puppy for a phone message left by Warren County Prosecutor Office. Up to that moment Gualdo was told that Puppy was living happily with a new family. It was a cruel lie. The last days of Puppy life was a twisted skein of lies and deception. During the first two weeks, Kim Bennett, Animal Control Officer, Washington Borough, was helping Gualdo feeding his six German shepherds, including Puppy, after Washington Borough police took Gualdo to St. Luke's Hospital, Phillipsburg, for medical treatment. Five days later, Kim Bennett phoned the hospital to tell Gualdo that she was taking the dogs to Common Sense for Animals to feed them there because the dog food at home was over. Three days later, Kim Bennett phoned Gualdo again to ask him if he wanted to put Puppy in adoption since he already had too many dogs. Accordingly, the hospital faxed to Kim Bennett the adoption papers signed by Gualdo. It seems that the good house that Kim Bennett was looking for puppy was in Heaven. Puppy was killed.
